I love my wife. We express our love for others in a variety of ways. Sometimes it's the little things we do for them that matters most. I decided to cook breakfast for her.
I made biscuits. They were not the canned biscuits or from a mix out of the box, they were from "scratch"! They were so hard we couldn't even cut them with a knife! Later I asked my mother-in-law what I had done wrong. "How much milk did you use?" she asked. "Milk?" What did she mean milk? I had used water! I mixed flour and water together and baked it. I had made BRICKS!!!!
Milk or water? It really did make a difference! Sometimes God asks us to bring Him "milk" and we bring "water"! We reason to ourselves, "It doesn't really matter". But it does!! For example, God said in
Acts 20:7 "And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, ...". The disciples (Christians) broke bread (Communion / Lord's Supper) "upon the first day of the week" (Sunday). This is what God has asked for. If we do it on Saturday or "upon the first Sunday of every quarter" or once a year, does it really matter? You decide. "Milk" or "Water" ... it makes a difference!
